Samsung want to shrink a 600MP (BIG) sensor into its smartphones.
now it's going too far, it appears as though Samsung is creating a 600MP camera sensor for smartphones. This data comes from the Ice Universe.
This 600MP sensor, specifically, will offer 0.8um pixel size, equivalent to Sony's IMX586 48MP unit. Such a sensor would take up around 12-percent of room inside a phone and would bring about a 22mm projection on the back.
You can see that in a picture gave underneath, a picture Ice Universe shared. That looks sort of absurd, isn't that right? Indeed, definitely, it does, which is the reason Samsung is centered around getting that together perfectly… some way or another.
Pressing quite an enormous sensor inside a phone would cause colossal distension on the back.
The organization is attempting to discover an answer for this issue, and it will be fascinating to perceive in what capacity will they do it. That should be managed down significantly. Cell phones these days are around 8mm thick, and this projection alone is 22mm.
Samsung will, without a doubt, use ISOCELL pixel binning innovation here, which will help it trim down that swell. The organization may even diminish the size of those pixels towards a similar objective.
On the off chance that there's something we've taken in these previous few years, is that megapixel wars don't bode well. Apple and Google have avoided them, and they offer cell phones that have heavenly cameras.
We're not saying megapixels are awful, an incredible opposite, however, this bounce appears to be insane. The thing is, a 600MP sensor would offer much greater flexibility, and with the correct programming, it could do ponders.
Samsung needs to offer a 600MP camera sensor, however, maybe are we'll see 150MP and 250MP units before it.
Do take note that this sensor is a long way from being prepared. Samsung is by all accounts in the beginning phases of its turn of events. The leaks say that we'll see 150MP and 250MP sensors before this one goes to the market.
The subsequent stage for Samsung is offering its second-gen 108-megapixel ISOCELL camera with the Galaxy S21 Ultra. That handset is planned to show up one month from now, in mid-January. Alongside it, the Galaxy S21 and S21+ will dispatch, yet won't offer that sensor.
Stay tuned for the latest updates.
